In Tuesday's edition of the Consumer Countdown, consumer goods analyst Sean O'Reilly joins Mark Reeth to discuss some of the factors affecting the holiday shopping season this year. For instance, low consumer confidence, changes to the calendar, and other factors are all combining to make this a more difficult year than ever for many retailers, including Wal-Mart (WMT -0.08%)

That said, both Sean and Mark are bullish on Amazon's (AMZN 3.43%) prospects this holiday season, as the e-tailer is positioning itself to be a dominant force in retail over the coming months. In addition, Sean thinks that Nordstrom (JWN 0.68%) will continue to be a winner, while Mark sees value in Urban Outfitters (URBN 4.51%) this season.
