Erratic weather behavior and atmospheric carbon dioxide levels in the at a new critical milestone of 400 parts per million have environmentalists arguing against President Obama's "all of the above" strategy. National Journal recently ran a piece detailing DOE Secretary Ernest Moniz's efforts to defend the policy and clarify the objects of the strategy. 

Environmentalists aren't satisfied with using another fossil fuel, natural gas, as a coal substitute for energy generation, and they want a strong push toward a zero-carbon solution. While there have been huge strides in wind and solar energy, we're still in the first inning of carbon reduction, and if we're ever to reach an energy portfolio levered to green energy, natural gas is the only option to get us there.
