Why These 3 Energy Stocks Plunged 10% This Week

Linn Energy LLC, Atlas Resource Partners, L.P., and Peabody Energy Corporation all plunged at least 10% this week.

For the most part, it was a fairly quiet week in the energy sector. Unless, of course, you were invested in one of a handful of companies that investors bailed on this week.

According to S&P Capital IQ data, three notable energy companies had a really awful week as their stocks plunged more than 10%. The troublesome trio included Linn Energy LLC (LINEQ), Atlas Resource Partners, L.P. (NYSE: ARP), and Peabody Energy Corporation (BTU).
