It operates through the following business segments: Space Systems, Aerospace, and Digital. The Space Systems segment is involved in the development and execution of space projects within all orbits for applications such as earth and weather observation, reconnaissance, navigation, communications and scientific payloads. The Aerospace segment develops and manufactures space and aeronautic products, in addition to performing other industrial activities. The Digital segment provides satellite operations as well as satellite-based IT applications and other IT services. It also develops ground-based mechatronic systems for antennas and telescopes. The company was founded in 1981 and is headquartered in Bremen, Germany.
