Contest: Best Home-Improvement Idea

It's Buy, Sell, or Home? month here at The Motley Fool, and we want to close it out with a bang. Are you obsessed with Trading Spaces? Ever felt like you could show Tim Allen a thing or two? Well, then... this contest is for you.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to come up with the best home-improvement idea. (For our definition of "best," see #1 in the summary below.) If your entry wins, you'll be given a fat 500 bucks from our co-founders David and Tom Gardner. That will buy a lot of caulk!

Here's the summary:

1. Tell us, in your own words, your best home-improvement idea. Entries will be judged on several criteria including, but not limited to, how much value the improvement adds to the house relative to the money invested, how applicable the improvement is to the majority of homeowners, and how simple the improvement is to accomplish.
   
   
2. Post your entry on our Buy, Sell, or Home Contest discussion board by 11:59 p.m. ET on Tuesday, June 3 (yes, that's one minute before midnight).
   
   
3. The winner will receive $500 of David and Tom Gardner's moolah.
