Despite a storied 81-year history, RadioShack (NYSE: RSH) has seen better days in the retail business. Online powerhouses like Amazon.com have completely disrupted bricks-and-mortar retail operators in recent years. However, even in the face of immense competition, small outlets like GameStop have proven that this retail model can still be a profitable venture. If RadioShack reaches a new world of sustainable profitability, its shares might be buried treasure.
