Here are 3 reasons you should add the Coursera IPO to your watchlist. The stock went public March 31, 2021.

In today's video, I take a closer look at the new recent IPO, Coursera (NYSE:COUR).

Below are three reasons why you should add this new IPO to your watchlist.

  1. Coursera is a clear leader in online education as it is now one of the largest online learning platforms globally.
  2. Coursera is hitting three main markets, and they are all seeing solid year-over-year growth. Coursera 2020 total revenue was $293.5M, up 59% Y/Y.
  • Consumer 2020 Revenue : $192.9M up 59% Y/Y.
  • Enterprise 2020 Revenue : $70.7M up 47% Y/Y.
  • Degrees 2020 Revenue : $29.8M up 97% Y/Y.
  • The P/S ratio does not seem overextended like certain IPOs we saw in late 2020. The current IPO price of $33 gave a $4.3B valuation, and with 2020 revenue of $293M gave Coursera a P/S of 14.7. If the company continues to grow at a moderate level, its P/S valuation may look ever more attractive.
