This Stock Looks Like an Early Berkshire Hathaway -- and It Trades for a Big Discount Right Now

There may never truly be another Berkshire, but this company is similar in many ways.

It's unlikely that another conglomerate will replicate Berkshire Hathaway's (NYSE: BRK.A)(NYSE: BRK.B) stellar performance record. However, specialty insurance company Markel (MKL 0.78%) has a lot in common with an earlier-stage Berkshire, and right now it could be an attractive place to put money to work.
