Every day, the sun rises on Wall Street, and a plethora of professional analysts wake to issue new opinions on stocks. Here at the Fool, we use our "This Just In" column to examine some of these picks -- and the track records of the companies behind them -- so individuals can make better investing decisions.

In addition to following professional banks, anyone can use Motley Fool CAPS to monitor the collective opinions of more than 135,000 members, many of whom demonstrate better investing insight than published analysts do.

More top-performing CAPS members are feeling bullish about Terra Industries (NYSE:TRA) these days -- after spending nearly a year at nothing better than a four-star rank, the nitrogen producer has once again reached five-star status. A total of 1,216 members have given their opinion on Terra Industries, with many of them offering analysis and commentary explaining the recent optimism.

Despite posting weaker earnings alongside fertilizer peers Mosaic (NYSE:MOS), PotashCorp (NYSE:POT), and Intrepid Potash (NYSE:IPI) amid a period of weak demand for crop chemicals, CAPS members remain bullish on the long-term outlook for the fertilizer industry. Recent potash contracts with Indian buyers significantly cut the price per ton, but the agreements could set an industry price floor for potash producers like PotashCorp, Mosaic, and Agrium (NYSE:AGU). And Terra Industries, like CVR Energy (NYSE:CVI), is sending upbeat signals on nitrogen prices moving forward, looking for strong fall corn applications if weather cooperates. It's also restarting its idled Donaldsonville ammonia plant to take advantage of improving Gulf ammonia prices.

Some CAPS members also still have a positive outlook of the ongoing takeover triangle between Agrium, CF Industries (NYSE:CF), and Terra. While CF Industries continues to rebuff Agrium's hostile bid, it recently said it was willing to boost its own bid for Terra by 22%, and return at least $1 billion to shareholders through buybacks if the deal closes. Terra has already rejected previous offers but said its board will consider the latest bid and comment by the end of the month.
