Gartner has released PC shipment figures for the fourth quarter and full year 2011. Apple continues to outpace the broader market by a wide margin, while HP's strategic missteps continue to cost it market share. Dell's shipment also shrank but not as much. The mobile revolution continues to grow at breakneck speeds, driven by increasing adoption of smartphones and tablets.
