Non-GAAP EPS came in at $0.84. The three earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.59 per share on the same basis. GAAP EPS of $1.59 for Q2 were 279% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.42 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 37.1%, 230 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 6.2%, 200 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 15.5%, 1,100 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $128.4 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.64.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $510.2 million. The average EPS estimate is $2.41.
The stock has a two-star rating (out of five) at Motley Fool CAPS, with 46 members out of 56 rating the stock outperform, and 10 members rating it underperform. Among 13 CAPS All-Star picks (recommendations by the highest-ranked CAPS members), 11 give Analogic a green thumbs-up, and two give it a red thumbs-down.
