The Chinese solar industry has been accused of "dumping," subsidizing their solar industry in order to sell solar equipment in the U.S. at below-cost prices, in order to completely negate U.S. solar companies' ability to compete. New tariffs placed against imports of Chinese solar panels by the U.S. International Trade Commission are intended to offset this, and give the U.S. solar industry a much-needed shot in the arm.
