In the following video, Motley Fool consumer goods analyst Blake Bos takes a look at SodaStream's (NASDAQ:SODA) earnings, and points out some key things to pay attention to in the coming year. While the company beat expectations on both the top and bottom lines, the stock was down on the earnings release due to guidance being a bit lower than hoped. However, Blake tells investors that rather than watching these short-term metrics, they should be focused on longer-term trends. He wants to see continued growth in the company's consumables, such as its CO2 cartridges and flavor packs, which reflects utilization of the systems, and wants to see continued growth in the company's market penetration in Asia and the Americas.
