While there is a lot of consumer excitement about Sony's mysterious new console, Travis tells us that gaming consoles on the whole may be losing relevance, and that rather than facing the traditional competition, Sony will now have to go up against the likes of Apple (AAPL 2.21%) and Microsoft (MSFT 1.57%), as consumer spending moves increasingly toward mobile in the gaming world.
