The price of wheat is edging higher as buyers are being lured by the grain's low price.

Wheat for delivery in May rose 3 cents, or 0.4 percent, to $7 a bushel on Monday. The grain has risen for three straight days since hitting $6.84, its lowest level in more than eight months.

Wheat is down 10 percent this year on expectations of bumper crops from India and Australia, both big exporters of wheat. Winter snow storms have also brought moisture to the Plains region following last year's drought, improving the outlook for this year's crop.

Corn and soybeans also rose today.

Trading in metals futures was mixed.

Gold and copper rose, while silver, platinum, and palladium fell.
