Amazon.com (AMZN 3.43%) has expanded its X-Ray service to TV shows. Now customers can view IMDb information on Amazon Instant Videos with a tap.

Six months ago, Amazon and IMDb introduced "X-Ray for Movies," a feature that provided IMDb details while watching movies on Kindle Fire HD. Starting today, Amazon Instant Video customers can also use X-Ray on TV programs

"X-Ray has been one of the most loved features on Kindle Fire HD since it launched last September," Amazon Kindle Peter Larsen said in the press release announcing the new feature.

X-Ray is now available on Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD, and the Amazon Instant Video app on Wii U.

IMDb, an Amazon company for 14 years, specializes in movie, TV, and celebrity information and has more than 160 million monthly unique visitors.
