On another slow day for Defense Department awards on Friday, Jacobs Technology was one of the few big winners. Landing a $128.4 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract modification, the Tullahoma, Tenn.-based subsidiary of Jacobs Engineering (J -1.39%) increased the value of its underlying Pentgaon contract to supply "diverse engineering, technical, and acquisition support services" to a combined $264 billion.

Although this contract is described as involving "foreign military sales," Jacobs will be performing its services for the U.S. Air Force at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. Work on the newly "optioned" portion of Jacobs' contract is to be completed by April 19, 2014.
