Sri Viswanath joins Groupon from VMWare.

Groupon (GRPN 0.50%) has appointed Sri Viswanath as its senior vice president of engineering and operations. He will report to interim CEO Eric Lefkofsky.

Previously, Viswanath served as vice president of research and development for mobile computing at VMWare.
