Chico's FAS (CHS +0.00%) is doling out a new shareholder payout. The company announced that it will distribute a dividend of $0.055 per share of its common stock on July 1 to shareholders of record as of June 17. Although that amount matches the previous disbursement made last month, the firm pointed out that it is nearly 5% higher than the June 2012 dividend. That payment was $0.0525 per share.
Chico's FAS has handed out a distribution every quarter since launching such payments in early 2010.
The new dividend annualizes to $0.22 per share. That yields 1.2% at the company's current stock price of $17.97.
