It would take impossible feats of tax-accounting wizardry to put Verizon Wireless entirely under Verizon's control.

Verizon (VZ -0.20%) would love to own Verizon Wireless outright. Joint venture partner Vodafone (VOD 1.13%) might even be willing to sell its stake, but don't hold your breath waiting for this ground-shaking deal to happen.
