EPS came in at $0.66. The 19 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.67 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.66 for Q1 were 12% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.59 per share. (The prior-year quarter included -$0.01 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.) GAAP EPS of $0.68 for Q1 were 39% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.49 per share. For the quarter, gross margin was 48.4%, 130 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 10.9%, 140 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 9.7%, 170 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $2.25 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.86.
