EPS came in at $0.90. The eight earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ forecast $0.85 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.90 for Q1 were 43% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.63 per share. GAAP EPS of $0.51 for Q1 were 6.3% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.48 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 24.3%, 120 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 7.7%, 130 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.6%, 10 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Looking ahead
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $1.53 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.84.

Next year's average estimate for revenue is $6.15 billion. The average EPS estimate is $3.43.
