There's a new nameplate on the door of the chief executive's office at dELIA*s (NASDAQ: DLIA). The company has appointed Tracy Gardner to be its CEO. She replaces Walter Killough, who will continue at the firm as its chief operating officer.
The accession is a quick one for Gardner; she joined dELIA*s earlier this month as its chief creative officer.
In the press release announcing the news, the company quoted Gardner as saying somewhat cautiously that "while developing and executing a strategic plan will take time, I look forward to working with the team to build dELiA*s into the brand we all know it can be."
