The following video is from The Motley Fool's weekly Tech Review, in which host Chris Hill talks all things tech with Fool analysts Eric Bleeker and Lyons George.

The Wall Street Journal reported this week that though Microsoft (MSFT 0.54%) and Nokia (NOK 0.11%) had reached advanced talks on a possible acquisition of Nokia by Microsoft, the talks have now fallen apart. In this segment, Eric and Lyons discuss which aspects of the acquisition would have made sense as Microsoft continues to struggle in its efforts to break into the smartphone market, as well as who else may be interested in a Nokia acquisition. Finally, Eric talks about why Nokia may prove a difficult acquisition to make, and whether it will still be a standalone company three years down the road.

The relevant video segment can be found between 8:40 and 12:35.
