Getting more of the world on the Internet will likely provide Internet service companies with a massive runway for long-term growth. To that end, Facebook (FB +6.50%) recently launched Internet.org, a collaborative effort aimed at drastically reducing the barrier of entry associated with getting connect to the Internet from the developing world.
It wasn't too long ago when Google (GOOG +3.71%) launched a similar initiative called the Google Free Zone, which allows users in the developing world to get free access to Google services on their mobile device.
