By 2020, close to five million barrels of oil per day (bpd) could be produced from shale basins outside of the United States. That figure reaches 70% of America's current production in just six and a half years. The energy industry and investors should have their eyes peeled to countries such as Argentina, China and Russia which supposedly hold vast reserves of both shale oil and gas.
