Boeing Wins Defense Contracts for Apache Attack and Special Ops Helos

Also a smaller contract to produce plane parts for Air Force Stratotankers.

On the final day of its fiscal year, the Department of Defense announced 95 separate defense contracts Monday, worth $5.526 billion in total. Boeing (BA 2.35%) won three of them:

$64.8 million: a firm-fixed-price, option-eligible, non-multi-year contract with the U.S. Army, paying for material and labor needed to build "various systems and components" for the Apache-D attack helicopter.
$49.6 million: an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to perform engineering, analysis, testing, and technical support work to support the "Mission Enhanced Little Bird" aircraft through Sept. 26, 2018. MELB -- also known as the MH-6 Little Bird, or more affectionately as the "Killer Egg," is a modified light attack helicopter used by Army special forces.
And finally, $7.2 million: a sole-source contract modification to produce fan ducts for Air Force KC-135 Stratotankers by August 2017.
