The health insurance industry isn't known as a dividend investor's paradise. Most of the stocks here don't offer high yields, but three of the largest insurers in America -- UnitedHealth (UNH 0.23%), Aetna (AET), and Wellpoint (ELV 0.15%)all offer dividend yields between 1% and 2% with some serious benefits for income investors looking for long-term strength and stability.

Obamacare's shaking up this industry, but these three stocks have boomed in 2013. UnitedHealth's ranked as one of the Dow Jones' best stocks on the year, and Wellpoint's racked up gains of more than 40% since the start of January. But it's not high growth that dividend investors are on the lookout for; it's an attractive, stable dividend that can pay out for the long term. Fortunately, these three stocks, each with subscription bases in the tens of millions of members, are right up a dividend investor's alley.

But which one of these three stocks is worth investment in? Find out in the video below, where Motley Fool contributor Dan Carroll tells you what you need to know about these insurance giants -- and which of these dividends could be the most rewarding in the long run.
