Best Buy (BBY -0.81%) is once again turning to exclusive product in order to boost sales and traffic at its retail stores. Specifically, Best Buy will be the only U.S. retailer to offer Samsung's Blue Arctic Galaxy S4 smartphone when it becomes available on Nov. 14.

We've seen this strategy work in related markets, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video. Content, for example. Netflix has set itself apart from Amazon.com -- also Best Buy's biggest and most dangerous competitor -- by inking exclusive programming agreements, including a new breakthrough four-show deal with Marvel.

Retail exclusives don't always work as well, Tim says. Best Buy's own mixed record in this area includes deals for the now-defunct Palm Pre  and the Chinese Democracy album from rock band Guns 'N Roses. So what should investors expect this time? Tim answers this question and more in the video. Please watch and then leave a comment to let us know what you think.
