Now that TransCanada (TRP 0.50%) is getting ready to ship its first cargoes of oil through the southern leg of the Keystone XL pipeline, the Gulf of Mexico is getting to the point that it can barely handle any more oil from here in the U.S. As weird as it may sound that the U.S. has an oversupply problem after years of import reliance, we are still up against the fact that America's energy infrastructure is not prepared for the surge in production.

There are ways that we can put quick fixes on this issue such as moving more oil via rail to the East and West Coast refineries. Ultimately, though, there is only one way to resolve this issue long term. Tune into the video below to find out what it will take.
