How United Technologies Beat the Dow in 2013

United Technologies crushed the Dow in 2013 and still looks inexpensive. Here's how the industrial giant pulled off that feat.

Dow Jones (^DJI 0.63%) component United Technologies (UTX +0.05%) has destroyed its Dow peers in 2013. The stock is up 31% while the Dow stops at 21%.

With that kind of run-up, has United Technologies priced itself out of the investing window or is the stock still worth investing in?
