Move over, Simba. There's a new king of Disney's (DIS 0.18%) movie studios.

With its $15 million draw last weekend, Frozen just surpassed The Lion King to become Disney's best performing animated film yet. And while that's great news for the company's movie business, it's really just the start of a long trip through Disney's entertainment empire for this new property.
