How much can one popular movie matter to a diversified entertainment giant? A lot.

Move over, Simba. There's a new king of Disney's (DIS -0.15%) movie studios.

With its $15 million draw last weekend, Frozen just surpassed The Lion King to become Disney's best performing animated film yet. And while that's great news for the company's movie business, it's really just the start of a long trip through Disney's entertainment empire for this new property. In the video below, Fool contributor Demitrios Kalogeropoulos puts the film's box office run in perspective, and notes how Frozen's success will be felt through all of Disney's businesses in the years to come -- from toy sales to media networks to parks and resorts.
