On Thursday's Market Foolery, host Chris Hill and Bill Barker, Motley Fool Funds analyst, discuss GoPro, which went public today. Chris offers that the video camera company IPO'ed at $24 a share, and rose throughout the day more than 30%. Yet, he wonders how many people know about the company. Bill talks about his own sports experience, and why GoPro is a reason for excitement. Then, Chris jumps in quickly to add how much more exciting many sports would be if they had explosions. Wouldn't everyone watch Wimbledon if fire was somehow related?

Chris turns back to the stock, and Bill wonders how necessary is "brand" when buying a camera. The two discuss the cameras that are in The Motley Fool's studios -- they are from Sony, which Chris was not aware of. Overall, Bill thinks that the market for the extreme sport camera will eventually fill with Sony (SONY 0.37%) and other camera brands.
