RCS has had a rough couple of months, but experts seem to think good times are on the horizon for this firm.

RCS Capital Corporation (NYSE: RCAP) is a full-service investment firm that concentrates on providing services to individual investors through its network of subsidiary companies. The company focuses on alternative investment strategies, such as non-traded public REITs and BDCs, as well as its own line of alternative investment funds.

RCS provides financial advice, wholesale distribution, investment management, research, and investment banking, and continues to grow. The company recently completed its acquisition of Cetera Financial Group, one of the United States' largest groups of independent financial advisors, and recently announced the intention to finalize the merger with Investors Capital Holdings which will further bolster RCS's network of advisors when the deal is finalized on June 11.

So, what exactly does RCS do, and why do analysts think it has so much upside potential after losing nearly half of its share price over the past several months?
