Verizon Communications (VZ 0.88%) reiterated its stance recently that it won't "throttle" its unlimited customers, according to CNET. That's a different approach than AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint, which have throttled their unlimited customers in high-data traffic areas, and typically after they've surpassed 22 GB in a billing cycle.
But Verizon has its own strategy for curbing excessive data usage. The carrier is increasing the monthly price for those still in its unlimited plans (which it no longer offers) by $20 per month starting in November.
