On April 25, Rule Breakers selection TASER International (NASDAQ:TASR) released earnings for the first quarter ended March 31.

  • TASER beat estimates on the top line but missed on the bottom line. Blame expenses. While revenue rose 10%, the stun-gun maker's production costs climbed almost 30%.
  • Perhaps that's due to the new C2. The stun gun for civilians was launched in January during the Consumer Electronics Show.
  • Regardless, CAPS investors, who give the stock just three of the maximum five stars, aren't buying. Neither is the overall market: TASER shares fell by more than 4% in yesterday's trading.
