The Motley Fool's CAPS investing service is great way for investors to work together to beat the market -- and maybe get famous while they're at it. Among its features, CAPS lets users blog about their picks, investing strategy, market view, yesterday's lunch, or whatever floats their boat.

As the CAPS blogosphere continues to grow, players are adding more great content on a daily basis. To make it easier to find some of the gems out there, I've dug through the past week's posts to find some of CAPS' best insights. Of course, with room for only seven posts here I can't possibly cover all of the great stuff in the CAPS blogosphere. So when you're done here, I highly recommend heading over to CAPS and checking out what some of the other investors have to say.

Follow the bouncing baby boomers
CAPS member LakeEffect likes Intuitive Surgical (NASDAQ:ISRG) because it's on the cutting edge of health care. But he likes it even more because of his take on the larger health-care industry. You see, LakeEffect is a baby boomer, and he believes that he, along with millions of other boomers, are going to be making the health-care industry a profitable place for investors. Open up LakeEffect's latest blog post for his full take.

Has the CAPS community missed this?
Al Gore is back at it! This time, he's issued a challenge to the U.S. to get rid of our carbon-based fuel dependence completely over the next 10 years. A lofty goal, to be sure, but a good one nonetheless. Pursuing that goal could be a major boon to companies developing renewable-energy sources, with Suntech Power (NYSE:STP) and GE's (NYSE:GE) wind division among the potential winners. CAPS blogger GreenMycon just couldn't believe that nobody else had already blogged about the challenge. Take a peek at his blog to get more information on the challenge, and chime in with your thoughts.

Bloomberg app is a must-have
What excites people so much about Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) these days? I'll give you one guess. If you didn't say the iPhone, then you're either not reading the news or you're living in North Korea. As TMFDoraemon points out -- and as an iPhone owner, I can attest to it -- the iPhone is one heck of a convergent device, and, better yet, it can help keep you on top of the market, no matter where you are. Check out his blog to find out how.

Today's chuckle
Who says you can't take a break from your financial spreadsheets for a laugh? In fact, I think doing so is essential. So with that in mind, head over to feiled's blog and read about Murphy's lesser-known laws.

An outstanding short opportunity
A week seems hardly enough to fully call an end to the oil bull market, but it's certainly showing cracks. Tapping into that change, goldminingXpert thinks there are CAPS points to be made on the downside for Petrohawk (NYSE:HK). Head over to his blog to get the scoop -- and be sure to also check out the dissenting opinions that follow.

Coming soon ...
Have a hankering for buying up the bad boys of the stock world? That's right; we're talking vice and sin stocks -- Wynn (NASDAQ:WYNN), Altria (NYSE:MO), Smith & Wesson, and the like. Tune into the first blog post from TMFBigVice to get connected.

Junk faxes
I never get tired of stories about stock pump-and-dump schemes. Every one of these tales is as hilarious as it is nefarious, and the creativity of the pumpers can be pretty high. WPThatcher recently received a fax touting bulletin-board stock Superlattice Power and wrote about it on his blog. Check out his take.

And that's our roundup for this week. Be sure to check back next week for more great blogging action. In the meantime, why not head over to CAPS and add your two cents to the community pool?
