The 2026 cost-of-living adjustment is scheduled to be released Oct. 15.
The Social Security cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, for 2026 is scheduled to be revealed on Oct. 15 after September's inflation data becomes available. However, the government shutdown may stand in the way. In this short video, I'll break down what retirees need to know about it.
