What Will the 2027 Social Security COLA Be?

Social Security beneficiaries are likely to get a raise, and here's how much it could be.

Social Security just gave all beneficiaries a 2.8% cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, for 2026. And while it's too early to know for sure what to expect for 2027, here's an initial estimate based on the information we know now.
