(March 12, 1999) -- Irv is leaving this weekend to drive east. He has about a weeklong trip planned, so he'll be back next weekend. That means for all of next week I'm not sure what to do. But we think we'll send in five thoughts this weekend, before Irv leaves, and they'll be able to use them all next week. Irv asked about it and should hear back before I hand him this writing. Knowing that, I'll keep this short. I probably need to write five thoughts by tomorrow.
Lucinda bought a new birdhouse with the first paycheck from this column.
The S&P fell 0.24% today.
