(April 30, 1999) -- With the busy farming season here, we're going to begin writing this column once a week starting next week. Yes sir. But it's going to be a longer column. We'll send a column every Thursday. Our column will run that day along with other writing from The Motley Fool itself about index fund investing, explaining different types and whatnot. On days that the column isn't running, questions about index fund investing will be discussed on the Harry Jones message board.
When things cool down, Harry and I might again write a daily column. Meanwhile, the Motley Fool will always write the weekly index fund investing column alongside our column each Thursday. So don't miss us too much. People have to eat, afterall, so we have to work. Plus, Harry has found that having to say something everyday was difficult when spring came. He likes a life of adventure outdoors. Nothing against anybody. He's just busy. If you farm, you understand. He began investing in index funds because they're easy and they beat most mutual funds.
Harry or I will be here next Thursday. Keep your hat on and your neck covered until then. The S&P lost 0.57% today.
