Andy Cross is Chief Investment Officer at The Motley Fool, where he leads a team of more than 20 analysts and investment advisors guiding the company’s premium investing services. He co-advises The Motley Fool’s flagship service, Stock Advisor, works closely with CEO Tom Gardner as an analyst and contributor on other premium services, and regularly contributes to Fool24 and the company’s podcasts. His focus is primarily on identifying profitable, long-term growth companies with strong compounding potential. Andy started investing in the early 1990s at the cusp of the internet boom. Before joining The Motley Fool, he was a research analyst at a private investment firm. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in applied mathematics. He calls the Washington, DC area home but his heart will always be with Philly sports teams and Liverpool Football Club.
