Right now, most money is simply passed on to content providers.

By now, almost everyone is familiar with the big names in streaming. There's Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Walt Disney's Disney+. But there's one big segment of the linear TV market that has yet to make a full transition to streaming: live events, particularly sports. People love seeing their favorite sports teams live -- and if they're available on broadcast TV, there's little reason to switch.

But fuboTV (FUBO -0.70%) is trying to change that. In this Sept. 12 video from Motley Fool contributors Brian Stoffel and Brian Feroldi, you'll find out why the company's business model doesn't look great... for now. There is, however, a new revenue stream that could soon come online. If it does, it could prove to make fuboTV a great investment.

Brian Stoffel has no position in any of the stocks mentioned. The Motley Fool recommends fuboTV, Inc. The Motley Fool has a disclosure policy.
