Some investors have a negative opinion of this industry, but I think it could go the other way.
Notable short-seller Jim Chanos has called data centers his "big short" idea, especially the big data center real estate investment trusts (REITs) Digital Realty Trust (DLR 0.95%) and Equinix (EQIX -0.91%). However, the recent numbers show that demand is still strong and they could be worth a closer look after all.
