Vogt resigned, cars aren't on the road, and Cruise's future is very much in doubt.

Cruise CEO Kyle Vogt quit over the weekend, adding another element of turmoil for General Motors' (GM -0.14%) autonomous driving unit. The fleet is now off the road, and the business is without a clear leader.
