Warner Bros. Discovery is splitting up and it's an admission that bigger plans have been a failure.
When Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD -3.33%) was formed, the idea was that the collection of assets would be more valuable than they were individually. Now, it's splitting again in a deal that will likely empower the biggest companies in streaming.
