On March 21, specialty apparel retailer Charming Shoppes (NASDAQ:CHRS) released fourth-quarter earnings for the period ended Feb. 3.

  • Net sales for its retail-stores segment increased 13% to $725.8 million, from $643.8 million in the 2006 fourth quarter. The increase was spurred by good e-commerce sales, the addition of the outlet business, and an extra week of sales in the quarter.

  • For the first quarter of fiscal 2008, the company projects EPS in the range of $0.19 to $0.21, with total sales in the range of $780 million to $790 million.
