Citigroup's chairman, Richard Parsons, is stepping down and is being replaced by fellow board member Michael O'Neill -- just the guy Anand hoped Citi would tap. Because of O'Neill's experience turning around Bank of Hawaii and making it into a conservatively run regional banking powerhouse, as well as his experience working through Citi's trouble assets, Anand thinks O'Neill is the perfect choice.
