Microsoft (MSFT +0.72%) reported earnings to be down 8%, and profits down 22%. Things are not looking good for Microsoft only a quarter before the major product launch of Windows 8 and the surface tablet. Being so close to the PC market, Microsoft may be one of the reasons the PC market is in shambles. Companies such as Intel (INTC +6.15%), HP (HPQ 1.14%), and Dell (DELL +0.00%) are also being impacted by the overall PC market.
