California-based DNA sequencer Complete Genomics (UNKNOWN:GNOM.DL) has announced that China's BGI-Shenzhen has received clearance from the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States to proceed with buying the company. This purchase, announced on Sept. 15, has been on hold pending approval from the interdepartmental government agency, which includes representatives from the departments of Treasury, Defense, State, Commerce, and Homeland Security.
